If you are fighting against the biggest cobia or striper, or catching a hard-headed tuna or marlin, the Van Staal reels are the best choice with their 30 pounds of lock-down drag. You can choose from these three different anodized finishes that suits your taste, gold (G), silver (S) or black (B).
There are four Van Staal Models that are out in the market, with differences mainly on the weight and line capacity. We have the VSB 100, 16 oz in weight and 10 lb / 225 yds capacity, the VSB150 which is 12lb / 340 yd in capacity and weighs 16.8 oz, the VSB200: 40lb/400yds and 21.6 oz and lastly the VSB250 with a capacity of 20lb/350 yds and 22.4 oz heavy. The gear ratio of a VSB100 and VSB150 are 4.75:1 while the VS200 and VS250 share the same gear ration of 4.25:1.
